  • Allthough there are no clubs or any other venues with streaming music or even movies like SL....there is social life in Entropia. There are some *bars*, but they are mere scenery and usually only used as a meeting point for ppl to get togheter before starting a hunt. Popular places to socialise are the campfire on Jennifers Island and the wall at Port Atlantis. Before the last EU makeover Twin Peaks and Swampcamp were always crowded. Twin Peaks because of the ever ongoing trading and Swampcamp where noobs and ubers met, mostly for societies to recruit new members. In the past Club Neverdie on the asteroid belt was very popular....maybe it still is...but its for most new players to expensive to even go there, allthough it has improved when space travel got active again. *getting togheter* ususally happens when a radio station is giving a populair show like Atlas Haven Radio or Calypso Rock. They often have events were players can win items or having their sweat bought at a much higher price then the marketvalue. Making your ava dance is possible, allthough its restricted to 8 predefined dance moves. Gatherings are always a time and place for players to show their hottest and newest outfits....clothes or armor

  • Societies in Entropia are much like hordes in bloodlines in Second Life. Players can found a group and recruit members. The leader of the soc (short for society) is usually the one that determines the rules and type of the soc. Socs are predifined by EU and there are several different types like militairy, miners, traders, clan, and mind tropians. The hierarchy has always 5 levels. The leader decides how his soc members are promoted. That can be by skill point count, involvement in the soc in general or RL skills. Most socs have written down rules which all soc members must submit to and usually a homepage, forum or blog.

  • Southern Cross Training Centre (SCTC) (clan), leader: Ebony, later Alexa. UK, USA and Australian soc but members from all over the world. Here I learned all the basics of Entropia. Made a lot of friends.last rank: Fourth Circle...still have many of them on my FL.

  • Stronghold (military), leader: me and Strong. My first and last experience as a soc leader. International group: UK, USA, Australia...very exciting times but time consuming. Disbanded after the Caly wars. Much drama with scamming. last rank: general/colonel (soc is disolved)

  • Dutch Elite Squad (DES) (militairy) leader: RobVee. Dutch soc. Highly skilled soc and very active when I joined. Lot of soc hunting and training for newbies in Entropia. Soc blew up when a part of soc became more fanatic in skilling. Still have friends here. RobVee is my current mentor. last rank: private

Great pple but due to timezones we didnt see each other much and soc itself was not very active. Droops took me to the next level of understanding Entropia. insanely skilled last rank: private

  • Patriots (military), leaders: sin and duke, USA RL couple. I helped this new soc to build at request of sin. After the first start up and training I had a bit of break of Entropia...being more active in SL. left after being falsely accused of scamming the soc. The truth was even more ugly I found out later. latest rank: colonel

  • Calypso Desert Rangers (militairy): leader: Atlan Ion Leticron. USA-Dutch soc. One of the most respected socs in Entropia and one of the oldest. Pretty small soc where pple become real friends. Active soc with all levels of players, from ubers to *new* players. Favorite pass time...space travel XD.....curent rank: recruit

  • Radar Roni Hawklord update: saradu joined CDR, Roni got Private. sin of men Quaiyai and Duke Nukem Quaiyai are banned from Entropia. RobVee left DES. Patriots soc is disolved, most have joined Calypso Vikings with Rune Norwegian as leader

  • Radar Roni Hawklord update: RobVee is no longer with DES, Rudolph Therednose Reindier (Ruud) is now general of DES (Ruud is a great guy), Saradu got promoted to private with the rangers and I got promoted to sergeant
